About the show
The Evenfall Hollow Board of Tourism follows the efforts of show host Phil Liota and his faithful production assistant Paul as they showcase the many wonderful sides of the rural mountain town of Evenfall Hollow. Hear about local news, get to know local residents and businesses, and of course, check in with Muffin, the office cat that can foretell your death when you pet her.
The Evenfall Hollow Board of Tourism began 15 years ago as a short story, with plans for a novel or book series. The project stalled out, but was eventually revived as a dark comedy audio series that is loosely based upon the real-life experiences of living in a rural Arkansas town. We frequently reference and parody news, current events and pop culture via our “Local Sponsor Message” segments.
The core of the story is a slice of life view of host Phil Liota’s life as he interacts with the various cryptids, paranormal occurrences, and mysteries that fill the town. Why is he the only one that notices the weirdness and inconsistencies of the town? Why can’t anyone remember where they were before waking up at the bus stop outside town? Why can’t anyone leave? Why does the Moth-man teach a spin class?

The Creator
Ruu McKinney is a long time automotive and fiction writer. As a former resident of some of the largest cities in the country, moving to a tiny rural town in the mountains of Arkansas lead to a variety of strange encounters and unusual experiences. These experiences helped to create the world of Evenfall Hollow.
This show is Ruu’s first foray into both voice acting and audio editing, both of which have been an incredible learning experience.
